Cheryl
Welcome to Words of Gold. I’m confident that something you read or see here will help you on your life journey. The concept of learning life lessons across generations is etched deep within me. If you were to get a glimpse at all the ah-ha moments that others have imprinted on my heart, you’d know why.
I like to teach, tell stories, and can’t resist a really good analogy. But more so, I love to learn. I went back to school at the age of 50 and was in my glory. Knowledge is a good thing, but can't replace lessons learned from ordinary people. It may not surprise you that senior citizens and children have been the most profound teachers in my life.
There are ordinary people here waiting to offer you a mentoring moment. You'll find a list of story topics in the sidebar. While you may not have a personal mentor, you're not alone in your current season of life!
Holly
I’m Holly and I’m a communicator. I love writing, speaking, listening and singing. There’s so many ways we can encourage, comfort and motivate each other. I love to write about touching moments and memories that inspire a positive lesson we can all learn from. My best story ideas usually come to mind while I’m driving or in the shower.
I love blue jeans and big hair! I’m a Texan so it’s all about the boot cut…although I’ve recently given skinny jeans a try. Is that even allowed at my age? I’ve worn my hair the same way for a really long time and confess to using more than my fair share of hairspray. My family and I have lived in an inner city loft/warehouse for over 25 years. We were urban before urban was cool!
I invite you to look for lessons in the simplest things and then live out what you’ve learned. You are amazing and have a legacy to share. Go be you!
Ashley
Hi, I'm Ashley and I love stories. There's nothing like being washed away in sweet unfolding drama. While I appreciate stories that entertain, I find myself most drawn to stories that leave a mark on the heart. For that reason I try to write for impact.
I'm a new mom flailing through the day to day hilarity of baby rearing. Pretty sure everything can be solved with an impromptu dance number and a few hundred kisses on the cheek. I know God loves me because he created coffee.
Nice to meet you and thanks for stopping by!
